Reiki Attunement, Massage Therapy And Healing Touch Therapies

April 2008

People who teach Reiki attunement may also teach chakra attunements. They may use crystals, candles or other accessories. Or, they may practice a very simple version of Reiki and use nothing other than their hands and the Reiki symbols.

Some people who teach Reiki attunement also practice massage therapy or other forms of healing touch therapies. No matter the technique, the energy that all of these practitioners use is the same. It is something that any of us can access. Different cultures and religious groups use different names for the energy. Universal life force is the name that we typically use, but any name is correct.

Chakra attunements were not originally part of Reiki training. The chakras were originally described in ancient Indian texts, known as the Vedas, the sacred texts of Hinduism. As the years have gone by, knowledge of the healing power of the chakras has been used in many belief systems and medical practices, including yoga, Dharma and Ayurvedic Medicine.

Although Usui (the first person to teach Reiki attunement in Japan) did not use the term ?chakra attunements?, as far as we know, learning about the chakras ?fits in? well with Reiki instruction. This is why some masters may teach about both Reiki and the healing chakras.

By definition, the term attunement simply means to be ?synchronized? or ?aligned?, but the term is only used to describe ?natural tendencies?. It is natural for the universal life force to flow around and through each of our bodies, but sometimes some trauma, either physical or emotional, ?blocks the flow?. So, a person who would teach Reiki attunement would teach another how to return the energy flow to its natural state.

Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means ?wheel?. In the human body, the chakras are like energy ?wheels?. There are seven major chakras, including the root chakra and solar plexus, and a number of minor chakras, including those in the hands and the soles of the feet. Sometimes illness is caused by a blockage at one of these chakras, typically at one or more of the major chakras.

Chakra attunements allow a person to ?unblock? the energy flow at the chakras, achieving better health and an overall sense of well-being and happiness.

Not too long ago, the only people who would teach Reiki attunement or chakra attunements charged very high fees. Everything about these healing therapies was mystical. The people who understood the power were secretive.

Spiritual Protection - Symptoms Of Spiritual Hitchhikers And Demons And How To Clear Your Aura

April 2008

Many people do need to cleanse their aura of negative energy, but some psychics try to capitalize on the fear surrounding the issue and charge outrageous fees.

Too often, the unscrupulous psychics who attempt to charge such high rates don?t fully understand the issue of possession and how to successfully remove negative energy, let alone the basic principle of karma (what goes around comes around). These types of psychics are best avoided.

Negative energy can and does interfere with our lives. It consists of others’ thoughts and feelings, earth bound or lost souls, or on occasion, dark entities. Earth bound or lost souls are the souls of people who have died but, for various reasons, have not yet gone to ?the Light.? Loved ones who have died, gone to the Light, and now watch over you do not fall into this category.

Symptoms of being influenced by negative energy or lost souls are feelings of being blocked, unexplainable or extreme anger, fears, sadness, depression, guilt, or anxiety, recurring dreams or nightmares, relationship problems, unexplainable physical symptoms, eating disorders, and the sudden onset of cravings for or addictions to alcohol, drugs, sex or smoking (especially if there are distinct personality changes while under the influence).

Other signs include negative emotional or physical reactions to the idea of cleaning your aura or spirit body (such as ?part of you? wanting to do it and “part of you? not wanting to do it), reckless behavior, poor memory and concentration, hearing inner voices (especially with negative messages), feelings of being followed, feeling drained, sudden unexplainable physical problems, and recurring dreams or nightmares.

The most common ways of picking up such unwanted and uninvited energy is by weakening the energy field or aura with alcohol, drugs, extremely emotionally trying circumstances, or through sexual abuse, surgery, or illness. An almost guaranteed way of picking up ?lost souls? (also known as spiritual hitchhikers) is by using drugs or drinking excessively and then walking through a hospital or cemetery. Unwanted, uninvited energy can also attach before birth, during birth, and during childhood.

Some ways to avoid picking up entities (especially important if you are more spiritually sensitive) include the following:

* Avoid drugs and excess alcohol.

* Avoid negative people.

* Mentally surround yourself with White Light whenever you think of it several times each day. Picture a bright light shining out from your solar plexus, surrounding, and protecting you whenever you think of it. Ask for assistance from God and/or guides of the Light.

* Mentally fill your home and/or office daily with White Light.

* Burn sage to help clear your energy field and residence.

Upon hearing about the concept of entity possession or attachment, many people think of the movie The Exorcist. While the subject of possession was exaggerated in the movie for dramatic effect, entity possession or attachment can and does happen. Sometimes the symptoms of entity attachment are very subtle and go unnoticed, and sometimes a person can literally be taken over by one or more entities, sometimes dark, even from or before birth.

There are several books written about this subject, such as The Unquiet Dead, by Dr. Edith Fiore. In her book, Dr. Fiore explains that after people die, they usually go to ?the Light,? as written about in many life after death books. Sometimes, however, souls don?t go to the Light for various reasons and instead remain earthbound. This is especially true in certain cases where someone dies angry, an addict of sex or any substance, or if they die a violent or sudden death. These souls resist going into the Light for various reasons and instead seek out and merge with someone in a physical body who can feed their addiction, has similar feelings of anger, depression, or other fears, or they may stay in close proximity to loved ones they knew while in a physical body. Often the intense feelings at the time of death are held onto and then felt by whomever the entity attaches to or merges with. Even though most entities don?t mean any harm they may still drain the energy of the host, causing tiredness or depression, and the host may easily mistake the entities? thoughts and desires as his/her own.

Other books on the subject include SpiritReleasement Therapy by William J. Baldwin, D.D.S, Ph.D., RemarkableHealings by Shakuntala Modi, M.D., and Remote Depossession by Irene Hickman, D.O.

Some experts and therapists who help clients release entities believe that 85% or more of the population may have entities around them or within them that are interfering with their lives.

The subject of entity attachment may seem frightening, but there?s really nothing to fear. It is simply energy that needs to be firmly directed to the proper place.

Oriental Aromatherapy

April 2008

Not all massage is enjoyed just for the benefit of relaxation alone. Oriental Aromatherapy massage blends the East with the West in a more challenging way of treating body/ mind disorder.

Through the holistic Chinese world view, the subtle and invisible are as significant as what can be seen or touched, and caring for the physical structure is entwined with the human spirit not separate from it. Illness, therefore, may be identical but the persons suffering from it are individuals.

Not all massage is enjoyed just for the benefit of relaxation alone. Oriental Aromatherapy originates from ancient Chinese tradition and blends the East with the West in a more challenging way of treating body/mind disorder. Through the holistic Chinese world view, the subtle and invisible are as significant as what can be seen or touched, and caring for the physical structure is entwined with the human spirit not separate from it. Illness, therefore, may be identical but the persons suffering from it are individuals.

Using the time tested Oriental medicinal principles regarding the relationship between the patient, the five elements (earth, water, fire, metal and wood) and the cause and effects of disease, the vital properties of natural aromatic oils are blended and matched with the patient’s energetic needs.

The essence of Oriental Aromatherapy lies in the choice of essential oils in response to the individual’s overall energetic pattern. Once the oils are chosen in an holistic way and blended in a carrier oil such as macadamia or sweet almond oil the individual is massaged in a very flowing uninterrupted style. The body is able to totally absorb the essence that represents a whole system; a global and organic way of healing which could never be reproduced synthetically.

Oriental aromatherapy is a very complex subject. To define its actions it is first necessary to distinguish between internal and external causes of disease. Naturally a good grasp of the Traditional Chinese Medical System is essential in determining such causes. External causes of disease are more climatic in origin such as wind, cold, damp, and so on. Internal causes are those of a subtle nature of more simply, our emotions. For example, an intensity of sadness and melancholy can lead to a disharmony of the lungs and conversely a disharmony of the lungs can lead to sadness and melancholy.

To illustrate one half of their paradigm, when a person loses someone dear to them they go through a grieving or letting go process. If, however the sadness is so intense that they become stuck in time or the past, others may feel that they are out of reach. From this kind of digression a lack of vitality may develop, with shallow breathing and a consequent increased susceptibility to respiratory infections.

Essential oils to work on the lungs would be chosen according to their specific actions, for example oils to move energy, strengthen, warm, cool or sedate the lungs. Specifically thyme to open one up to the ‘now’ experience and clary sage to strengthen and uplift the Qi (energy) in the lungs would be chosen.

So by understanding the functions of the Chinese medical system and the diverse qualities of essential oils and integrating both, it is the aim to re-establish harmony by helping the patient regain their innate oneness. Massage, acupressure and essential oils are therefore applied as a holistic treatment.

Sea Salt Is Used As A Laxative To Assist The Body

April 2008

Some naturopathic experts recommend that you do a sea salt cleanse to remove toxins and to alleviate your digestive symptoms. In this case, sea salt is used as a laxative to assist the body in achieving for new and positive changes.

If you have been suffering from constipation or suspect that you have parasites in your body, then you may want to consider a sea salt laxative instead of using harsh, commercial medications.

Since natural salt is a necessary chemical for normal body function that can be depleted with physical exercise, many electrolyte balancing sports drinks contain salt. However, sea salt is considered superior to normal processed salt as it contains health enhancing minerals. A sea salt cleanse draws out impurities from your digestive tract and at the same time, provides your body with necessary minerals that may not be available in your current diet. However, it is important that you thread with caution. Sufferers of ulcers, cancer, or digestive illnesses should research this detoxification treatment carefully or consult with their doctor before starting the cleansing process.

To prepare the sea salt cleanse, combine 2 teaspoons of unrefined sea salt with 2 quarts of warm water. If you find it hard to gulp it down, then add lemon juice to make the drink more palatable. Each individual may react to the process of flushing the system with a sea salt laxative in a different manner. This drink is also best taken in the morning at 7 in the morning, when you awake. In general, do expect to empty your bowels in a few hours, although there is a time variation depending on your digestive tract. At first, you may face difficulty swallowing the sea salt drink but do think of the rewards that you can get if you complete the sea salt cleanse.

The benefits of a sea salt cleanse include internal improvement of your digestive tract to improved moods because of an increase in energy. It is also possible to expect improved respiratory and sinus function. In fact, the sea salt cleanse is also a common folk remedy for colds or as a natural antihistamine. The cleansing process detoxifies the body and balances electrolytes. This can help stabilize the heart rate and relieve muscle pain. Other indirect benefits include fresher breath, reduced body odor and clear skin.

Many people suffer from digestive complaints and from chronic fatigue syndrome that can be due to improper digestion. The modern diet tends to be laden with fats, chemicals, and toxins that can cause our digestive tract to work less efficiently. A sea salt cleanse is thus helpful. It is a chance to discover comfort and energy that you are looking for.

Principle Of Homeopathic Remedies: The Law Of Similars

April 2008

The principle of homeopathic remedies is known as the “Law of Similars” (or “Like cures like”). What this means is that substances that cause healthy people to get symptoms can cure diseases that have these symptoms.

In conventional medicine, the symptoms are considered to be a manifestation of the disease. The drugs are given to kill the bacteria causing the symptoms. Homeopathic medicine, on the other hand, see the symptoms as the body’s attempt to heal itself. It’s a positive sign that the body’s defense mechanism is trying to fight the disease. It’s part of the healing process and hence the symptoms should not be contained or suppressed.

That’s why when you use homeopathic remedies, you may feel worse before you feel better. Unlike conventional medicines, homeopathy remedies act first on the emotional symptoms, before they cure the physical ones. In essence, it is the opposite of traditional medicines.

Here is an example to explain the principle of the Law of Similars: Let?s assume you have developed a severe rash. Let?s also assume you have taken a prescribed medication to dissipate the rash. Suddenly you experience side effects from this medication and research its ingredients. Now, let?s assume once again that your spouse has a terrible cold. You find that the ingredients in the medication you took for the rash can get rid of a cold, provided it is prepared by a homeopathic professional and given in a small dose.

Furthermore, anyone who is using homeopathy to cure an illness should be aware that there are certain foods and drinks to avoid because they counteract the remedy?s potency. For example, homeopathic practitioners advise not to drink caffeine or eat anything with mint as this can suppress the remedy and render it ineffective.

When you seek homeopathic remedies from practitioners or pharmacies, remember to ask questions about the remedy. For example: What foods or drinks should be avoided? A homeopathic professional should be able to give you detailed instructions on the use of the remedy and how it affects you according to the information you give them.

Thus, the reason you may feel worse after utilizing a homeopathic remedy may be because you are consuming other ingredients that are in direct conflict with the remedy itself.

Finally, with most prescribed medications, the doctor will tell you to continue to take the medication even though you are feeling fine. Conversely, with homeopathic remedies, the opposite is true. Once you are fine, stop the remedy. If the remedy doesn?t help you, try another. You will feel better, but only after you feel worse.

Reduce Your Blood Pressure By Cleansing Your Body

April 2008

Did you know that your diet has direct correlation with your blood pressure? High-blood pressure is directly related to a poor diet; a toxin removing, cleansing diet is a helpful way to treat this issue.

Your food choices need to be given serious consideration so you get the most amounts of healthy nutrients into your body but just as important as getting the good stuff into your body is how you remove the bad stuff from it.

There a bunch of different cleansing diets which use a combination of a strict diet along with herbal and vitamin supplements. There are even a few of these that have shown to reduce high blood pressure and hypertension by giving the body only pure substances, and getting rid of toxins from food and the environment. Here is how you can begin lowering your blood pressure and improving your overall health through a smart diet and a cleansing program.

  • You?ll want to take a look at your calendar to make sure you have nothing important going on at the time when you plan on beginning your colon cleanse. The last thing you want is your normal life to be interrupted since there are instances of colon cleanses causing side-effects such as bowel irregularity, headaches and dizziness.
  • Find a bunch of exercises that target cardiovascular fitness. Activities that include walking, swimming, aerobics and bicycling all work great with getting the heart pumping. Spend around 30 minutes to an hour exercising every day. Exercises that stress cardio fitness helps to reduce high blood pressure by opening up blood vessels.
  • Do a complete and thorough review of each and all of the different types of cleanse programs available. Find one that works best for you and your lifestyle. Find a routine that best suits both your needs and budget.
  • Now that you?ve found a program that works for you, you can begin. Stick to a diet of organic fruits and vegetables, brown rice, and at least 7 to 10 glasses of purified or distilled water per day.
  • If you know some yoga, this step is a piece of cake. If not, read up on some relaxation exercises. Spend your time during the actual colon cleanse process to use these relaxation and yoga techniques such as deep breathing and meditation. These techniques help with relaxing the bowels and dispelling any toxins.
  • Now that you?ve completed cleansing your digestive system of all those harmful toxins, you can focus on cleaning up your blood vessels. This is done by eating the right foods high in potassium and magnesium that help regulate blood pressure. Some of the healthy foods are bananas, avocados, nuts, broccoli, rice and potatoes. Try drinking some apple cider vinegar. It has long been found to be helpful in lowering blood pressure.
